Between June 19–21, 2025, a series of wildfires broke out in southern Croatia amidst prolonged drought. One major fire, which ignited near Pisak on the morning of June 21, rapidly escalated due to intense Bora winds and burned approximately 300 hectares across Pisak, Marušići, and Mimice.
