The NERO network (COST Action CA22164) is pleased to announce its Open Call for:
- Virtual Mobility (VM) Grants
- Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) Grants
- Conference Grants — for Young Researchers and Researchers from Inclusiveness Target Countries
These flexible funding instruments support targeted exchanges and collaborations on the complex challenge of extreme wildfires — across disciplines, sectors, and borders.
🔍 What’s the opportunity?
STSMs and VMs fund activities such as:
- Co-developing tools or methods
- Conducting joint analyses of extreme wildfire events
- Sharing practices between institutions and agencies
- Building capacity across the network
The call is guided by three thematic clusters, from data integration and fire behavior modeling to practitioner-oriented knowledge exchange. Applicants are encouraged to interpret these clusters broadly and propose work that builds bridges across domains.
- Conference Grants support dissemination of results of NERO activities.
